In late April 2019, the hotel group Radisson sealed a management contract partnership with the Malagasy group Talys, owners of the Tamboho hotels. This partnership is entrusting Radisson with the management, marketing, and branding of three hotels in Madagascar under the Radisson and Radisson Blu brands. This portfolio of 254 rooms, catering to both high-end and luxury segments, includes two hotel conversions (the Radisson Blu Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront and the Radisson Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront) and one that is under construction (the Radisson Blu). All three are opening their doors simultaneously in 2020. The Radisson group now has 89 properties and over 17,000 rooms either in operation or under development in Africa, and they are achieving their goal of having 130 hotels and over 23,000 rooms on the continent by 2020. Both the Radisson Blu Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront and the Radisson Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront are sitting ideally at the junction of the downtown area and the business district of the capital, offering prime access to the international airport. They are locating within the Tana Water Front, a serene area with security surveillance, housing restaurants, a shopping center, and a cinema.
The Radisson Blu is featuring 121 standard rooms, 26 junior suites, and 21 executive suites. Dining options are including a main restaurant, a trendy restaurant, and a rooftop bar overlooking the city, along with an internet café. Leisure facilities are offering a fitness room and an indoor pool. There is 585 square meters of event space, comprised of a large conference room and six meeting rooms.
The recent Tamboho Suites has been converted into a high-end aparthotel named the Radisson Serviced Apartments Antananarivo City Center. It is featuring 56 apartments, including 38 luxury studios, 11 business-class apartments, and seven executive suites.
